About
Hi there – we're Steve and Susan, your hosts at our cozy seaside getaway on Gabriola Island. After years of dreaming and a lot of life lived, we found our perfect spot on the edge of the Salish Sea and decided to share it with others who appreciate peace, nature, and a slower pace.
Steve is a retired Lighthouse Keeper with a deep love for RVing, motorcycles, and model trains. He’s always happy to chat about island life, road trips, or vintage engines if you’re curious. He keeps things running smoothly around here, from the entertainment system to the streaming setup – and he’s usually working on one project or another...or another.
After 20 years of fostering high-risk and special needs youth, Susan now works at the local school with special needs students. She brings her signature eye for detail to every part of the guest experience, carefully selecting locally sourced crafts and artwork, and she's the creative mind behind the cozy, welcoming décor. She’s made sure that the space is filled with thoughtful, over-the-top amenities – the kind of touches that make a stay feel extra special.
We’re both semi-retired now and living full-time on the island. Our B&B is more than just a place to stay – it’s a reflection of who we are and what we love. Whether you're here to explore Gabriola's natural beauty, ocean adventures, or simply relax and recharge, we’re happy to help make your stay easy, comfortable, and memorable.
Thanks for considering our place for your next escape. We look forward to welcoming you.
Warmly,
Steve & Susan
