Gabriola has a vibrant community of passionate locavores and hard-working farmers while our small but mighty dining scene serves every palate.

Farm Stands & Farmers Markets
If a green roadside flag is flying, the farm stand is open!
Flocks of heritage hens, pastured farm animals, permaculture gardens, and wild harvesting are all common here.
Farmers markets generally run from May to October. A popular local attraction steeped in the unique island vibe is the Saturday Farmers Market. Local food is also available at the Mid-Week Market and Silva Bay Market.

About

You never know what you will find in our little boutique thrift shop. From crystal to quilts, suits to golf shoes, artwork to bread makers. It is a treasure hunter's dream!
The GABE Shop is run by the Gabriola Auxiliary for Island Health Care Society and all items are donated by the community. Funds raised are used to support health care initiatives on Gabriola Island, such as our Drivers to Doctors program and our Meals on Wheels program. For information about our programs, please visit our website or email the society at info@gabriola-auxiliary.org.
