Farm Stands & Farmers Markets
If a green roadside flag is flying, the farm stand is open!
Flocks of heritage hens, pastured farm animals, permaculture gardens, and wild harvesting are all common here.
Farmers markets generally run from May to October. A popular local attraction steeped in the unique island vibe is the Saturday Farmers Market. Local food is also available at the Mid-Week Market and Silva Bay Market.

Welcome to The Crone's Nest Studio! We - Marana and Elyn - are the two resident artists; doing what we love, and loving what we do!
Marana's Metal Madness creations are inspired by using recycled copper and other recycled metal and materials. Marana's designs are mounted on a variety of wood. Her art pieces reflect the themes of Gabriola: whales, seals, fish, herons, owls and more.
Elyn creates Dragons of many varieties! Wonderful soft-sculpture creatures with distinct and comical personalities are all waiting to be adopted by a special Human. You will also want to check out her beautifully handcrafted walking sticks.
