Lulu Presents Anthelia, a duo comprised of Tina Jones, vocals, banjos, and Leah Hokanson, vocals, piano, ukulele. Long-time collaborators, Leah Hokanson and Tina Jones, are excited to share their music and message with Lulu’s audience. Anthelia is the heartfelt expression of Tina's and Leah's ongoing co-creative evolution--and the word blends the letters of their first names. Anthelia, plural of Anthelion, means "opposite the sun" and is a rare optical phenomenon of the halo family. Anthelia's music calls from the dark, and shamelessly embraces the light knowing, especially during dark times, the light often appears when we least expect it. Anthelia combines lyrically-inspired folk, jazz and classical with well-seasoned soul. Their message rings with compassion, unity, self-honesty, boldness and vulnerability. Their lush vocal harmonies bridge it all.
