WORKSHOP: Ukulele! The pickleball of stringed instruments - Level 1
Jeannie Jay has taught beginner ukulele since 2014. Formatting songs for ukulele is a favorite hobby. She & her partner Lori are new to Gabriola, having left their band Pointy & the Birds, in Sitka AK.
Do you love music but believe “I’m just not musical”? This might be your lucky workshop! Suitable for complete beginners! Give me 90 minutes and I will give you the calypso strum and friendly enough chords that we will cover 4-Non-Blondes, Van Morrison & Johnny Cash! Give me another 90 minutes in Part 2 of this workshop & look out!
BRING: Ideally, your own ukulele. I do have a few extra I could lend out. A music stand would be helpful.
