FireSmart Tree Chipping Event Need to clear out your yard waste?
Join Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department for a community Tree Chipping event on April 18 and 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Albert Reed Memorial Fire Hall, 730 Church Street. Bring your eligible debris to be chipped on-site:
• Tree branches up to 6 inches in diameter
• Shrub clippings with wood stems
• Clean, dry wood yard waste Please note: leaves, grass clippings, vines, construction lumber, roots, dirt-covered material, garbage bags, metal, and commercial dump trucks will not be accepted. A big thank you to Gulf Islands Tree Services for supporting this community event.
