Gabriola Museum

The Gabriola Museum is run by the Gabriola Historical Society and is the place to discover island stories.

The Museum is located on South Road, a comfortable (1.2 km) walk or a short drive up the hill from the ferry dock at Descanso Bay. It is open from May to December.

 ART: Here you'll find one-of-a-kind creations including funky Dances with Scarves/DWS, Blessing Dolls and more!  This unique, handmade energy-infused fibre art with a flare in colour, texture and creativity can be viewed in a seasonal outdoor kiosk.  

WELLNESS: Unique rest and relaxation experiences await for individuals or groups (in-person or online).  Gayla Meredith is a Certified Practitioner of Healing Touch and Sound Therapy.  She offers a seasonal Rest and Restore Sound Experience within a beautiful forest setting and other therapeutic energy sessions aligned with individual needs.  Gayla's Forest, Garden and Heart Labyrinth also offer sacred spaces for quiet reflection, journaling and/or walking meditations.


Open daily for drop-in labyrinth walking 10:00 am - 5:00 pm daily.  Text for short-notice inquires for art viewing or session bookings.  Front yard sign offers further contact details.  Seasonal weekend sound experience drop-in session will be posted on Facebook and a roadside sign will also list details.

Book individual or group sound experiences, or check weekend in-person drop-in offerings.  Gift certificates are also available.
